Getting started

What is DoSaveIt?

DoSaveIt turns reels and posts you share into ready-to-use steps, checklists and plans. You share a link, text, screenshot or file, it works out what the content is, and you get a structured result you can act on.

How do I save something?

On Android, open the post, tap the share icon, choose Share to or More, then pick DoSaveIt. You can also paste a link or text inside the app or on the web app, or upload a screenshot, PDF, audio or video file.

How do I sign in?

Choose Continue with Google, or Continue with email. Email sign-in uses a password and a six-digit code to confirm a new account. You only have to confirm that you are 13 or older; everything else in your profile is optional.

Is there a web app?

Yes. The web app shows your library, search and results. Android is the primary place to capture things from other apps. An iOS app is planned after Android is stable.

Supported sources and what works where

Which platforms does DoSaveIt work with?

Links from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Threads, Reddit and web articles are supported to different degrees. Some platforms limit what apps can read, so the result depends on what is publicly available. See the Sources page for the current status of each platform.

Why does Instagram sometimes ask me to paste a caption or add a screenshot?

Instagram restricts what other apps can read from a post. When we cannot get enough text from the link, DoSaveIt asks you to paste the caption or upload a screenshot or screen recording instead, and then builds the result from that. The same can happen on other platforms, especially for private or login-only posts.

How does DoSaveIt read videos?

Videos: we read the post's text first, which is instant and uses the title, caption or description the platform shows. Tap Go deeper to have us listen to the audio (up to 25 MB), with a monthly allowance on every plan: Free 3, Pro 30 and Max 100 deep reads a month. Very large videos need a shorter clip, or just the audio.

Can I save things that are not links?

Yes. You can paste plain text, or upload a screenshot or image, a PDF, or an audio or video file. Maximum upload size depends on your plan.

Does DoSaveIt need my Instagram or TikTok login?

No. We never ask for your social media passwords and never access your accounts. We only read what you choose to share, and only when you save it.

Can it read private or paywalled posts?

No. We only read what is publicly available or what you paste or upload yourself. Please only save content you have the right to access.

Limits and plans

How many saves do I get on each plan?

Free includes 15 saves a month. Pro includes 300 saves a month (fair use). Max includes 1,000 saves a month. Limits reset monthly.

How big can an upload be?

Uploads can be up to 10 MB on Free, 25 MB on Pro and 50 MB on Max.

Is there a limit on chat with my library?

Chat with your library is available on Pro and Max. Pro includes 100 messages a day and Max includes 500 messages a day. Free includes 10 messages a day.

What differs between Free, Pro and Max besides the numbers?

Higher plans are processed with higher priority and with more capable AI models. Max also includes automations, API tokens and the MCP server; some of these roll out after launch. Max can process two saves at the same time, while Free and Pro process one at a time.

What happens when I reach my limit?

New saves are paused until your limit resets or you upgrade, and the app shows what is left. Everything you already saved stays available.

Privacy and data

What data does DoSaveIt store?

Your account email and profile choices, the links and text you save, the results generated from them, and details about how each save was processed (platform, content type, language, duration, hashtags, author handle and public engagement counts when available, which AI models were used, token counts, cost and processing time). We also keep your feedback and support messages, your chat messages if you use chat, and basic product events such as which features are used, without free text or links.

Is my content used to train AI models?

No. We do not use your saved content to train our own or third-party models. It is sent to AI providers only to generate your results.

What happens to files I upload?

We do not keep raw media beyond processing unless you choose to keep the file. Uploads are deleted automatically after processing plus a short grace period (7 days by default), and also when you delete your account. We keep derived notes, not downloaded videos.

How do I delete my data?

In the app go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account, or email us. Our Delete your account page lists exactly what is deleted and what may be kept, such as billing records required by law.

Who processes my data?

AI providers (currently OpenAI) generate your results. Supabase, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, PostHog and Sentry provide storage, hosting, subscriptions, analytics and error reporting. The Privacy Policy lists them and explains international transfers.

Billing and refunds

How do I upgrade?

Open the app or web app and choose Upgrade. Subscriptions are bought through Google Play (and the App Store if offered). Annual plans include a 7-day trial.

How do I cancel?

Cancel in the store you subscribed through: in Google Play, open Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel DoSaveIt. You keep paid features until the end of the billing period.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store under their policies. If you were charged in error or the service did not work as described, contact us with your order number and we will help with your request. See the Refund Policy for details.

Does deleting my account cancel my subscription?

No. Cancel the subscription in the store first, then delete your account.

Troubleshooting

My save says it needs more input. What should I do?

The link did not give us enough text. Paste the caption, or upload a screenshot or screen recording, and DoSaveIt will continue from there.

A save failed or is taking a long time. What now?

Processing is retried automatically. If it still fails, open the save and try again. Check that the post is public and still exists. If it keeps failing, send us the link through the contact form so we can look at it.

DoSaveIt does not appear in the Android share sheet.

Make sure the app is installed and updated. In the share sheet tap More (or Share to) to see all apps, and look for DoSaveIt there. If it is still missing, restart the sharing app, then contact us with your device model and Android version.

The result looks wrong or incomplete.

AI results can contain mistakes, especially when the source has little text or unclear audio. Compare the result with the original, edit it, or add the caption and reprocess. Tell us through the feedback page so we can improve.

I did not get my sign-in code.

Check your spam folder and wait up to a minute, then use Resend code. Codes expire after a few minutes. If you still do not receive it, contact us from the contact page.

Accessibility

Is DoSaveIt accessible?

We build the website and apps to work with keyboards and screen readers, with readable contrast and labelled controls, and we are aiming for WCAG 2.1 AA. We have not had an independent audit yet, so some gaps may remain.

I found an accessibility problem. How do I report it?

Use the contact page or email [email protected] and describe the page, your device and assistive technology. We treat accessibility reports as bugs.
